Aharbal Falls

Aharbal Falls are called the Niagara Falls of Kashmir, owing to the huge volume of water that falls through a narrow gorge of granite boulders. It is located on the Veshu River, in Kulgam district.

The waterfall is formed by the Veshu River, which cascades down a height of approximately 24 meters, creating a spectacular view. The area around the waterfall is surrounded by dense forests and is home to a variety of flora and fauna, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

One of the most exciting trekking trails leads to the lake of Kousarnag at a height of 13,500 feet above sea level. The area also offers excellent fishing opportunities for trout.
